Inter beat Napoli in the derby of the 12th round of Serie A. Conte’s team won through a penalty that Lukaku converted into a goal in the 71st minute. Napoli ended the match with one player less after Insigne was penalized with a red card
Inter has won the derby of the 12th round of Serie A against Napoli.
It was a monotonous match with very few shares from both teams.
The first half was better for Napoli where in the first minute Dries Mertens was able to score, who was forced to leave the game due to an injury in the 16th minute of the match.
After the cases at the beginning of the first half, the match continued with many passes in defense and neither team managed to create chances for scoring.
In the first half, there were only two attempts for a goal by Inter, while Napoli had three, but they never managed to hit the gate.
In the second half it was almost the same situation with Napoli who had an advantage in terms of possession of the ball and the chances created.
But everything would go in Inter’s favor after the 70th minute.
Ospina would cause a penalty in the 70th minute in Lautaro Martinez, where Lukaku would score from the penalty spot in the 73rd minute.
Before the penalty, Insigne was sent off with red card.
Although with 10 players, Napoli tried to equalize the score but failed, until Inter failed to score the second goal.
The victory sends Inter to second place with 27 points. While Napoli will be in fourth place with 23 points.
