The Dutch midfielder may leave the German giants for financial reasons of the Catalan club.

Barcelona could be forced to sell Frenkie de Jong for financial reasons and if that happens then Bayern Munich are waiting to buy the Dutch midfielder.

De Jong transferred to Barcelona in 2019, with the Ajax star being transferred to the Camp Nou for an initial sum of 75 million euros.

He has played consistently for the Catalan team since then, making 42 appearances in his debut last season and 15 so far this season.

However, due to the pandemic, Barcelona is facing major financial problems, just like any club in the world.

The club has said several times that it will cut salaries, but if Lionel Messi leaves the club next summer, they still have to work hard to equalize in finance figures.

Barca thinks that some players at the club may enter the market such as: Ansu Fati, Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, Antoine Griezmann and De Jong who are players of great value, excluding Messi.

The club will be forced to sell some of these few players for financial reasons and the decision will be made by the new president of the club, who will be elected at the beginning of the New Year.
