Barcelona’s problems in La Liga continued into its last game in 2020, as Philippe Coutinho left the field and Eibar made the Catalans record the weakest start in the league in the last 17 years.

Eibar stopped Barca with a 1: 1 draw at the Camp Nou, in a match in which captain Lionel Messi was absent due to an injury.

Barcelona are seven points behind leaders Atletico Madrid, who could increase their lead if they win the remaining two games.

Ronaldo Koeman’s team missed a lot of opportunities and was forced to settle with a point on Tuesday.

Martin Braithwaite missed the penalty before Kike Garcia gave the visitors the lead. But Ousmane Dembele equalized the score for Barca.

In the final moments of the match, Coutinho was forced to leave the field due to a knee injury, despite receiving medical treatment on the field.

Koeman had already made all five substitutions and was forced to play with one player less in the final 10 minutes.

Barcelona have won just seven of their first 15 league games this season. This has not happened since 2003.
