Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe wants to play for La Liga champions Real Madrid, according to former striker Davor Suker.

PSG is looking to extend Mbappe’s contract beyond the 2021-22 season in the French capital.

Suker, who is now president of the Croatian Football Federation, spent three years in Madrid, where he won La Liga and the Champions League between 1996 and 1999, and talked about the possibility of Kylian moving to the Santiago Bernabeu.

“There is a lot of money in football now, but if there is no hunger the player will not succeed.” said Suker.

“You have to look for a player who is hungry and I think Kylian Mbappe has the desire to play for Real Madrid.”

Mbappe and PSG are currently in discussions over a new contract for the French superstar.

Mbappe’s goal against Montpellier on Saturday was the 100th for PSG, which he was joined by his local rivals Monaco in August 2017.
