Lionel Messi has praised Argentina for the great performance against Peru and believes that he and his teammates are becoming stronger and stronger together.

Argentina defeated Peru 2: 0 on Tuesday night, continuing its good form in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and continuing to be the undefeated team.

Nicolas Gonzalez and Lautaro Martinez scored the winning goals for Argentina, securing three more valuable points on the way to qualifying for the next World Cup.

Gonzalez, who scored in the draw with Paraguay at the weekend, opened the scoring in the 17th minute with his second goal for Argentina in five appearances so far.

Just 11 minutes later, Lautaro Martinez doubled the lead by scoring after dribbling the opposing goalkeeper.

Messi was pleased with the performance of Argentina, which came five days after the draw with Paraguay.

“I am happy with the victory, we needed it after the last match,” said Messi.

“We played great from the beginning and then came the goals. We created many, many cases. Even in the last match we played very well in the second half, raising the level even. I think this is how we should continue. Little by little we are becoming stronger as a group.” he added.
