“Transfermarkt” has updated the value of Barcelona star, Leo Messi. The value of the Argentine has suffered a sharp decline in the market.
Messi is now worth 80 million euros, down by 20 million.
Tobias Blaseio, Transfermarkt manager for Spain, has offered an explanation as to why Messi’s value has plummeted.
“Messi is slowly reaching the last years of his career and Barcelona is going through an institutional crisis. After almost 10 years that had a value of over 100 million euros, now he has suffered this decrease of 20 million euros”, said Blaseio.
After 10 years, Messi is now worth less than 100 million, while the player with the highest value is Kylian Mbappe with 180 million euros.
