Luka Modric has reiterated his desire to extend his contract with Real Madrid, the club in which he says he wants to hang his shoes on the nail.

The contract of the Croatian midfielder with Madrid expires in the summer of 2021, but there are still no talks between the parties for its extension or not, despite the player’s wish.

The 35-year-old is aiming for a new contract in Madrid before retiring from football.

“I have said many times that I want to stay at Real Madrid, but let’s see what happens.” said Modric.

“I always give the same answer, I feel good and I want to continue at Real Madrid. I want to end my career here, but it depends on a lot of things. But no one will be happier than me if I retire here.”
