Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo has said his tactical plan worked to beat Barcelona in the Champions League.
Ronaldo scored two goals from the penalty spot and Weton McKennie also scored, to help Juventus beat Barca 3-0 at the Camp Nou and win first place in Group G.
“We had prepared the game to create a three-man advantage in midfield against two of them, midfielders like McKennie who are capable of moving forward, as we knew we would have a hard time stopping them if they moved forward.” said Pirlo. .
“The tactical plan worked and then the players did really well to make the most of the scoring opportunities.” he added.
“Ronaldo was very motivated to make a good appearance here against his lifelong rival, so when you are so motivated, it becomes easy.” Pirlo added.
Juventus managed to qualify for the next round from the first place and the opponents will learn on Monday, December 14th.
