Paris Saint-Germain could make efforts to approach Lionel Messi next summer, when the Argentine will be a free player, but will not have the budget to achieve this, according to French media.

Lionel Messi looks happy again in the Barcelona shirt, especially at the beginning of the year, after four goals in two games, but the rumors about his future have not stopped.

Messi has only five months left on his contract with Barca and is free to negotiate with other clubs, but although no fee is required to approach him, the Argentine captain’s salary could be a major obstacle for any club, including PSG.

Paris is known to be determined to reunite Messi with Neymar, but according to French journalist Julien Laurens, the French champion will not have enough budget to pay every year to three stars like Messi, Neymar and Mbappe.

“With the Financial Fair Play regulation, with the pandemic that seeing how much PSG is rested like any other club, I do not know how, only when it comes to salaries, PSG can keep Neymar, say “Million euros a year, Messi 60 million euros a year and Mbappe with the same salary as Neymar,” Laurens told Sky Sports.

“Only these three can cost PSG 150 million euros a year in the payroll. So financially it is impossible. They will try but it will not happen.” he added.
