Former Brazil international Caio Ribeiro has said that Neymar has risen above Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to become “the best player in the world”.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker has always been considered part of the global elite since exploding on stage with Santos and then shining at Barcelona.
Neymar flourished alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez at the Camp Nou, finishing third in the 2015 Ballon d’Or voting.
He also continued his brilliance and good performances even after moving to PSG in 2017, scoring 81 goals in 100 appearances.
At 28 years old and ostensibly at his peak, as Messi and Ronaldo reach their mid-30s, Neymar is in a position to become the best performer in world football.
Ribeiro believes he is already the best, having overtaken Messi and Ronaldo.
“Even if that Neymar has behavior that we do not agree with, I think he is currently the best player in the world.”
“He plays more with the ball than Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi.” Ribeiro told to Panico Jovem Pan.
