Rivaldo has praised the way Ronald Koeman has worked with Barcelona’s youth and criticized Zinedine Zidane for failing to do something similar at Real Madrid.
The former Barcelona player explained that the Dutchman has successfully integrated the academy players into a group of experienced players.
“I have always said that the key to managing young talent is not to put too much pressure on them, and I think Koeman is doing well, bringing in youngsters along with Sergio Busquets, Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba . Koeman deserves praise and respect for that management. I do not know who will be behind all this, but Zinedine Zidane is doing the opposite of what he did when he started using young talent like Fede Valverde, Rodrygo or Vinicius Junior.” Rivaldo told at Betfair.
Barcelona has started the new year very well, winning all the matches during this year, and the most serious test will be tomorrow where it faces Athletic Bilbao in the final of the Spanish Super Cup.
Currently, the Catalans are in third place with 34 points, three less than Real Madrid and seven less than Atletico Madrid, which has two games less played.
