Monaco has expressed serious interest in Real Madrid defender Marcelo, according to Spanish media.

The French club is ready to offer the Brazilian representative a three-year contract with an annual salary of 6 million euros.

Marcelo, who has been part of Real Madrid for 14 years, has lost the title this season, as coach Zinedine Zidane prefers Ferland Mendy to him.

The 32-year-old has a contract with Real Madrid until the summer of 2022 but could leave much earlier.

He has made just seven appearances for Madrid so far this season, so he is tempted to join a club where he would play regularly.

Marcelo’s market value is estimated at around 10 million euros.
