Manchester United narrowly won 0-1 against Burnley at Turf Moor to take the Premier League title from Liverpool. Paul Pogba scored a beautiful goal for United, a goal that brought them three points and the good form of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s team
Paul Pogba has been the hero of Manchester United tonight after scoring the only goal against Burnley, a goal that gave United the lead, at least until the match that United will play against Liverpool on January 17 as a guest.
The first half ended goalless but was dominated by United from the start.
United domination continued in the second half when the goal came after a low cross by Marcus Rashford where Pogba scored with a goal in the 71st minute of the match.
In the final minutes, Burnley tried to equalize and several times approached the goal while United tried to find the second goal through counterattacks.
In the end despite VAR looking for a penalty for Burnley, it was not tuned as it was determined that Maguire had not touched the ball with his hand.
After lap 17, United are in first place with 36 points, three more than Liverpool in second place and four more than Leicester and Everton in third place.
